3.6 Knee Kick

Changing levels when your strike is the best way to make it less likely for your opponent can't block your moves

The knee kick enables your to strike from below at close quarters and with power

Where this strike hits

  1. Groin

  2. Soloplex

  3. Face

What to hit with

  1. The top of the knee

You're striking with the top of the knee. However, your can also do variations with the front of the knee or even the side of the knee

For simplicity and effectiveness, we only need to concern ourselves with the top of the knee for now

How to do it

  1. First, grab the assailant and set your striking leg up by stepping it backwards

  2. Thrust your leg up as high as it can go while you push it forwards

  3. Make sure your knee travels in a straight line from point a to point b

Pros:

Limed opportunity to hurt yourself when doing this kick

Can generate lots of power

It's easy to use the kick multiple times in a row

Cons:

For the newbie, it can only be used at close quarters

Limited to effective striking opportunities
